CBD explained
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp and cannabis. It does not create the classic THC high. CBD products are sold as oils, capsules, gummies, topicals, vapes, flower, and mixed-ratio cannabis products.
CBD product types
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Full-spectrum | Contains CBD plus other hemp compounds and usually trace THC within legal limits. |
| Broad-spectrum | Contains CBD and other compounds but is processed to remove THC. |
| Isolate | CBD separated from other plant compounds. |
| Ratio products | Products combining CBD and THC, such as 1:1 or 2:1 formulas. |
Why CBD and THC are paired
Some people prefer products with both CBD and THC because the combination can feel different from THC alone. CBD does not simply “erase” THC for everyone, but ratios can change the overall experience.
