Concentrates explained
Concentrates are cannabis extracts that contain higher levels of cannabinoids and terpenes than flower. Examples include rosin, live rosin, live resin, wax, shatter, crumble, badder, diamonds, sauce, and distillate.
Rosin vs resin
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Rosin | Solventless extract made using heat and pressure. |
| Live rosin | Rosin made from fresh frozen material, often prized for flavor. |
| Live resin | Extract made from fresh frozen material using solvents, then purged and refined. |
| Distillate | Highly refined cannabinoid oil often used in carts and edibles. |
Caution
Concentrates can be very potent. New users should not treat a dab like a puff of flower.
