Flower

Dried bud, labels, freshness, and flower math.

Flower explained

Flower is the dried, cured bud of the cannabis plant. It is the classic product people smoke or vaporize. Flower labels usually show THC %, THCa %, CBD %, total cannabinoids, terpene percentages, harvest date, and batch information.

What shoppers compare

  • Appearance: density, trim, visible trichomes, and moisture.
  • Aroma: terpene expression and freshness.
  • Label: cannabinoids, terpenes, harvest/package date.
  • Experience: how it feels for you, not just the strain name.

Flower math

If flower is 25% total THC, then 1 gram contains about 250 mg total THC before normal losses. A half gram is about 125 mg. A quarter gram is about 62.5 mg.
